Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Chandigarh - Transfer to Shimla

Upon arrival at Chandigarh Airport, we drive to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. This beautiful hill resort was the erstwhile summer capital of the British. It is one of the top tourist destinations in India owing to its mild climate, meandering streets and snow-clad mountains. Often referred to as the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Shimla is perched at a height of around 2000 meters above sea level. Besides its natural beauty, what attracts hordes of tourists to this place is the opportunity to indulge in various adventure activities, such as trekking, mountaineering, and skiing. Once you reach Shimla, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and take some rest. stay overnight at the hotel. Room included: Garden Valley View Room at Kufri Pacific Resort.

Day 2: Kufri Excursion - Shimla Local Sightseeing

  • After a delicious breakast this morning, get ready to venture into Kufri – a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. With panoramic views of the Himalayas, steep hikes, adventure sports and quite a few fun and interesting sightseeing attractions, Kufri is a great place to unwind.
  • Popular specially with trekkers, the splendid weather and stunning natural beauty make Kufri an ideal summer getaway. Interestingly, Kufri is also the venue for an annual winter sports festival held in February. With the oldest skiing slopes in Himachal Pradesh, Kufri is also famously referred to as a ski destination. Himalayan Nature Park in the outskirts is home to over 180 varieties of fauna.
  • After, visit the famous Mall Road in Shimla. Also check out the pleasant small square Scandal Point and Jhakoo Temple. Return to your hotel and have a tasty dinner. Overnight stay at hotel in Shimla.

  • Private vehicles do not have access to Jhakoo temple because of the location. The guests can take a shared taxi available on Mall Road and visit the temple. It’s advisable to visit the temple before it turns dark; hence the guests can first visit the temple and then spend time on the mall road.

Day 3: Transfer from Shimla to Manali

  • After breakfast, get ready to drive to Manali – one of the most popular hill stations in India situated at a height of 6260 ft above sea level. The exquisite River Beas flows through the town of Manali, creating a spellbinding landscape against the massive peaks of the valley. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and get comfortable with your splendid surroundings. Your evening is free for leisure.
  • Both an ancient site and a modern town, Manali is a fairyland dotted with a number of tourist attractions such as the Rohtang Pass(at own cost) and Solang Valley nearby. Whats more, it is flocked by honeymooners and family vacationers all through the year. It is also fast emerging as an adventure destination with activities such as zorbing, paragliding and white water rafting. Overnight stay at your hotel in Manali.

  • Rohtang Pass is Closed from mid October to Mid May/ June depending on weather conditions at the time of travel
  • Rohtang pass requires a permit and transfers in a union vehicle – at additional cost at the time of travel.

Day 4: Full Day Manali Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, walk through Manali town visiting newly constructed Buddhist Monastery and the handicraft centre. Later, visit the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, Jagatsukh and Vashist kund.
  • Hadimba Devi Temple – is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahābhārata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himālayas.
  • Vashisht, an extremely picturesque little place clinging to the steep hill side. On the way up to the village you come upon the Vashist hot baths where a natural sulphur spring is piped into a modern bath-house.
  • Return to hotel by late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5: Transfer from Manali to Dharamshala

  • After breakfast, check out and hit the road to Dharamshala. Dalai Lama’s home and winter capital of Himachal Pradesh in the Kangra district, Dharamshala is exactly what it means – ‘rest house for pilgrims’. The high snowclad Dhauladhar ranges are an exquisite backdrop to the hill resort of Dharamsala. Look forward to views of numerous streams of clear water and dense pine & deodar forests trailing you all the way, cool clean air, beautiful surroundings and fantastic views of the mountain ranges.
  • On the way, feel the cool breeze in your hair and take in the stunning, scenic sights around you. Upon arrival in Dharamshala, check in and get comfortable. Spend the evening in leisure. The peaceful hill town of Dharamshala is an ideal holiday destination that boasts fantastic views of the Dhauladhar mountain ranges, lush pine & deodar forests, fresh clean air and all kinds of fun for a winter holiday. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

Day 6: Full Day Local Sightseeing in Dharamshala

After breakfast today, get ready for a local sightseeing tour of all the major attractions of Dharamshala. Visit and explore Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery – all filled with natural beauty. After lunch, we embark on a visit to the famous Tibetan Medical Centre (where various ailments are treated using rare Tibetan medicines, and St. John Church, one of the oldest churches of the region. Some of the other places to visit include Kangra Art Museum, Tea Gardens and Kunal Pathri Temple. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

Day 7: Transfer from Dharamshala to Dalhousie

Check out from your hotel after breakfast. Later, hit the road to Dalhousie – a famous hill station and unique summer retreat in Himachal. Watch for curious painted rock carvings of Buddhist deities along the south side of the ridge. The ravishing rhododendrons, gorgeous greens and pristine air add to the beauty of Dalhousie. Quite a few Tibetan refugees have found and made their homes in Dalhousie as well. You can also choose to visit the British-era churches of St John (1863) and St Francis (1894) or wander around the market areas of Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk. Your evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at hotel in Dalhousie. Room included: Superior Room (Room only) at Mastiff Hotel Dalhousie.

Day 8: Departure from Dalhousie to Chandigarh

After breakfast we checkout from hotel and proceed for Chandigarh by road (around 8 hour journey). On arrival you will be transferred to the airport/railway station to board the flight/Train back to home.

  1. Hotels may not have free heater services available. Heaters may be arranged from the hotel at additional charges on direct payment basis, varying from Rs 400 – Rs 1000, as per hotel charges and availability. We request you to kindly check the same with the hotel at the time of check-in to avoid inconvenience during stay.
  2. Most of the 2 star and 3 star hotels in Himachal provide only Mattresses not Extra bed.
  3. Hotels in Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Dalhousie do not provide heater free of cost. If you require a heater in the room, that will be payable extra directly at the hotel.
  4. At the time of check-in to your hotel, hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (amount depends upon hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damages done to the accommodation).

  1. Vehicle as mentioned in the booking will be provided. Extra charges will be applicable if additional vehicle or upgraded vehicle is required due to travellers carrying extra or oversized luggage.
  2. If you intend to visit Rohtang Pass please note, the tourist vehicles are only allowed till Gulaba Checkpost. Post Checkpost local union taxi are to be hired to go till Rohtang Pass.
  3. Rohtang Pass is closed for visit on Tuesdays as BRO (Border Road Organization) carries out maintenance of the Rohtang road.
  4. In order to visit Rohtang Pass you need to obtain a permit. There are limited permits available every day (750 for local HP registered vehicles and only 250 for tourist vehicles).
  5. Driving in hilly areas which are different from normal driving, speed limit would be 30 kms per hour.
  6. Vehicles in Hill Areas – Even if you opt for AC vehicle, in hill stations AC is non-operational to avoid damage or mid-trip break down of the vehicle for your own convenience. Also, in several hill areas, commercial vehicles are not allowed to play music to prevent accidents
  7. Any cost arising due to unforeseen events like landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc. will have to be borne by the guest. We will help in making best possible alternate arrangements. We will not be liable for any refund claims arising from this.
  8. In case you are booking an AC Cab, while driving in hilly areas, AC is will be kept switched off.

  • Airline seats and hotel rooms are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
  • In case of unavailability in the listed hotels, arrangement for an alternate accommodation will be made in a hotel of similar standard.
  • There will be no refund for unused nights or early check-out (In case of Medical condition it completely depends on hotel policy).
  • Check-in and check-out times at hotels would be as per hotel policies. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.
  • The price does not include expenses of personal nature, such as laundry, telephone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mini bar charges, tips, portage, camera fees etc.
  • We reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to: Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels / flights, cancellation / re-routing of flights, closure of / entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.
  • In case a flight gets cancelled, we will not be liable to provide any alternate flights within the same cost, any additional cost incurred for the same shall be borne by the traveler.
  • If your stay falls on special dates (like 24th December, 31st December, 14th February, etc.) when hotel organize gala dinner, then there may be mandatory Gala Dinner Charges additional that you need to pay at the hotel directly.
  • Country guidelines may change without notice, hence do check travel rules and your eligibility for travel on the regulatory website of the respective country/state, before booking your travel.

  • We are holiday organizers only. We inspect and select the services to be provided to you. However, we do not own, operate or control any airline, shipping company, coach or coach company, hotel, transport, restaurant, kitchen caravan or any other facility or provider etc. that is engaged to provide you services during the course of your tour. Therefore, please carefully note that:
  • You will need to adhere to the conditions, rules and regulations of each service provider. For instance, you will need to check the baggage rules of the airline, you will need to check the hotel rules to check what the mealtimes are, at which you should make yourself available. The company is not responsible / liable for the consequences if you breach such rules and regulations.
  • If you cause any injury or damage affecting the service provider, then you may be liable to the service provider and if the service provider recovers any monies from us for such injury or damages, we shall separately charge you for the same.
  • We cannot be held responsible / liable for any delay, deficiency, injury, death, loss or damage etc. occasioned due to act or default of such service providers, their employees or agents.

  • Hotel cancellation will be as per the hotel cancellation policy. If the hotels are non-refundable, you will not get any refund for hotels in the event of cancellation.
  • Any transfers or activities included in the trip will be non-refundable if cancelled within 3 days of the travel start date, unless otherwise specified during the quotation stage in the “Points to Note” section. Some services handle different cancellation policies and they must be respected accordingly.
  • Entrance tickets of any kind are non-refundable from the moment of booking, unless specified otherwise
  • There will be also a service charge of 5% on total value in case of cancellation of Land and 5% on total value for any amendments.
  • Any transfers or activities included in the trip will be non-refundable if cancelled within 3 days of the travel start date.

  • You can pay using credit cards, debit cards, net banking, PayPal, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS, SWIFT or deposit cash Rs 1,99,000/- in adhereance to Income Tax ACT.
  • We charge non-refundable financing fees for overdue amounts: 1. Financing charges: 1% per day of pending amount, compounding per day 2. Processing charges for financing: 5% per week of pending amount or INR 10,000 per week, whichever is lower; from 2nd week.
  • We reserve the right to cancel your trip without notice after due date. Any cancellation costs will be borne by you.
  • If the above-mentioned payment terms are not followed, we will not be held responsible for any change made in the package itinerary due to non-availability of flights, Hotels, Ferry etc.
  • There might be an increase in total package cost offered at the time of bookings in case the payments are not received by us as per the terms mentioned and the extra cost need to be borne by the guest.
  • We will never ask you to pay in a personal account. Please always pay using our website or in our company bank account.

  • If you wish to amend or change your booking, you have to communicate your request to us in writing to deepinder@directflights.com.au. Such requests for change or amendment will be accepted subject to availability. Please note that the amended or changed booking will be regarded as a new booking. In case the amendment is carried out within the cancellation period, then a cancellation charge shall apply as if a cancellation was made on the date the request for amendment or change is made. Please note the cancellation charges will be as per the airline and hotel policies.

  • All foreign nationals, including children, require a visa and passport before visiting Himachal Pradesh. For visiting Himachal Pradesh, please consult the concerned embassies in your area. For clarifications, please contact the Indian High Commission.
  • All foreign tourists has to carry their travel documents such as valid passports and visas. Indian visa can be availed from Indian Consulates from all over the world. These visas are provided for the duration of 6 months to 5 years as per your requirement. For any immigration problem, please take help of Assistant Commissioner of Police at the Airport Immigration Office.
  • Passport must have a validity of six months. Carry all the travel documents.
  • A proper VISA to enter and stay in India is a must. Foreigners who wish to overstay should contact the nearest Foreigners’ Regional Registration Officer or the Sadar Police Station in the town.
