Explore Penang Island also known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’.

  • Drive along the famous stretch of Batu Feringghi Road and enjoy panoramic views of the ocean.
  • Head to the Batik Factory to see and to learn the traditional techniques of producing this exquisite Malay textile using wax and dye.
  • Pass by the lush and green landscape of local fruit and spice plantations. Stop at a fruit stall for an introduction to local fruits and the spices of nutmeg and clove.
  • Next, visit the famous Snake Temple which was originally named the 'Temple of the Azure Cloud' in honor of the beauty of Penang's sky. Pit vipers now adorn the altars in the temple.
  • On the way back, view Penang Bridge, one of the longest bridges in the world and which links the island to the mainland.
  • Before returning to the hotel, stop by at the Penang Colonial Museum, experience the unique lifestyle of both the British administrators and wealthy merchants in Penang, appreciate the intricate art form from the past and the influences of the British on Penangites

This tour entails a leisurely drive across South East Asia’s longest bridge (Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge) to the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia from Penang Island An hour’s drive southbound along the North South Expressway brings you to the sleepy community of Bukit Merah town passing through small palm oil plantations and pineapple fields.

  • On arrival, aboard the ferry boat heading to the Orang Utan Island.
  • Step ashore and amaze yourself with the ‘People of the Jungle’ or Orang Utan, an endangered species. Scientifically identified as very smart animals, Orang Utans have one of the longest birth intervals, on an average, once in every 8 years.
  • Enjoy the hour and half at this dedicated rehabilitation sanctuary. Capture lots of photos for your remembrance.
  • Continue your journey to Taiping, one of the charming old tin –mining town in Perak.
  • Visit Perak Museum, one of the first and oldest museums in Malaysia.
  • It was founded in 1883 by Sir Hugh Low, the fourth British Resident of Perak.

Enjoy lunch  ( own expenses )at a local restaurant before returning back to Penang.
